Our hotel hosts special performances by contemporary taiko "Fugaku Taiko", a renowned Japanese drumming group from Shizuoka, during lunch and dinner.
“Fugaku” is another name for the sacred Mt. Fuji.
Every piece is an original composition by Tsuyoshi Yamauchi, representative of the Fugaku Association, inspired by the myths, legends, and natural beauty of Mt. Fuji.
Performed entirely with percussion instruments and no melodic instruments, the music creates a powerful yet mystical atmosphere.
